Elk Creek Rubs

Our rubs and sauces were born from the passion for cooking amazing Bar-B-Q.  After competing in (and winning) several SCA (Steak Cookoff Association) events around the United States we started developing these rubs to take our competition cooking to the next level. In doing so the Elk Creek name quickly became a fan and judge favorite. In 2014 we decided to take these award winning products to market and forged a new business, Elk Creek Bar-B-Q Company.

Most recipes recommend marinating meat and poultry for between six to 24 hours. Much longer than that, it is possible that the marinade can start to break down the fibres of the meat, causing it to become soft. Always marinate meat and poultry in the refrigerator. Boil the used marinade to brush it on the meat or poultry while grilling.

Rubs add flavour to the surface of the meat. A good rub may leave a bit of a crust after cooking.
